EPA - Most Wanted 23
WASHINGTON – The government is starting a different kind of most-wanted list — for environmental fugitives accused of assaulting nature.
These fugitives allegedly smuggled chemicals that eat away the Earth's protective ozone layer, dumped hazardous waste into oceans and rivers and trafficked in polluting cars.
And now the government wants help in tracking them down.
In its own version of the FBI most-wanted list, and the first to focus on environmental crimes, the Environmental Protection Agency is unveiling a roster of 23 fugitives, complete with mug shots and descriptions of the charges on its Web site at http://www.epa.gov/fugitives.

"California officials recently ordered two "personal genomics" firms to cease and desist operations within the state. The companies eventually were allowed to continue operations - with a few more regulatory conditions - but why did the state demand that they shut down in the first place?
The Silicon Valley startups, Navigenics and 23andMe
, offer consumers a big-picture view of their DNA and the variations that make each individual unique. According to the Department of Public Health, however, it may be illegal for state residents to directly obtain valuable genetic information that could improve their health and enrich their lives."

goly crap i posted that last one at 11:25, not only is 11pm 23 in military terms but also, 25-(1+1)=23!!! haha I really love this number. Honestly i didnt really look for 23 until recently, but i always noticed the number 626, it seemed to follow me. but...it can also be written (2x3) 2 (3x2)...yup
A little cursed???
So i found some crazy similarities between my life and the number 23...
I won't tell y'all my full name, but based on cabalistic values my first name adds up to 48, my iddle name adds up to 76, and my last ame adds up to 81. The difference between my first and middle name is 28, and the difference between my middle and last name is 5, 28-5=23...
My boyfriends first name adds to 81, his middle 29 and his last 91, add all three it equals 201, 2x1=2, 2+1=3...
I use his middle name as my password plus the day we began dating, 15...29-(1+5)=23
My birthday is march 23...3/23 it is the inverted 23 and 23 put together...
I was born in 1989...8+9=16, 23-16=6=2x3
today i went to my mailbow and there were 32 messages in my inbox...
I swear all this is true. I think I am a little cursed, hmm...curse add up the values aand it equals 66...23 2x3=6...coincidence or a sign of the devil????
I am sure you all know this but i love the fact that 2/3= .666 Current Mood: restless

Discordian Cyberspace Masquerade
I know this might not be entirely on-topic. But...
So I got this e-mail about something cool going on in Discordia. I think it's such a great idea that I'm taking it upon myself to tell LJ about it.
I hadn't even realized it was Discordia's 50th (or 49th) anniversary. This is cool 'cause we get to celebrate the 50 year mark for two years in a row. It's our Golden Apple anniversary. =)
I love the idea of an online party which brings together Discordians from all sections of the web. It's also cool that it's anonymous. It'll make communicaiton really interesting. I created this journal so that nobody suspects my true identity. :-)
Anyway, there's not a lot of time until the party starts, so I'm trying to pass the invite around as quickly as possible. If you have any ideas for where else we should advertise, please post! Or optimally, you should go there and get some buzz going.
I'll see you guys at the party! Hail Eris!

"Keep Calm and Lie Down On the Floor!"
On this day in 1903 noted
economic reformer John Dillinger
I mention this as a full-fledged member of the John Dillinger Died For You Society
Intrigued? Well, Robert Anton Wilson
wrote:The John Dillinger Died For You Society, run by a pseudonymous "Dr. Horace Naismith" (allegedly a
Playboy editor by day and a maniac only by night), accepts as its savior John Dillinger, the gunman who robbed 23 banks and three police stations before he was shot dead by FBI agents in 1934. JDDFYS members place memorial wreaths and floral bouquets at the Biograph Theater, where Dillinger was gunned down, every year on the anniversary of his death, June 22*. Their major spiritual teaching comes from Mr. Dillinger, whom they call St. John the Martyr, and consists of the words, "Lie down on the floor and keep calm," (St. John said this often to nervous and agitated bank officials before looting their tills). Every member ordained by Dr. Naismith gets a membership card making him or her an Assistant Treasurer, entitled to collect tithes from any new disciple naive enough to remain a disciple and not become an Assistant Treasurer, too, by writing to Dr. Naismith for a card.
--Religion For the Hell of It
If you're in the Chicago area July 22, you may want to check out the 73rd anniversary gathering at the John Dillinger death site
*Actually, John was gunned down July 22, 1934.

Went to a Cuban Restaurant with my family this weekend in Silver Spring, MD. I didnt know what to get, after thinking for a long time I just went for the easy choice, #23 on the menu.
I told the Waiter I wanted #23, and he thought it was a coincidence, since we were all sitting at table #23.
